Windows live messenger ton ausschalten

My old one, I damn know now, is much better. Thanks DNT! First I followed other workaround to make the ununstall visible, thought it doesn't help But the MsiExec. It's definitely installed and I want it gone. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can try now?! I will really appreciate any help! It said: this action only valid for program currently installed But it is currently installed Anybody else can help this???

To Girish: Is it the one from be4 "MsiExec. Message showed that "this action only valid to products currently installed" What can I do? Appreciate for help. I need help too!! Can someone find the new code?? I'm not good with computers, but need this gone!! Any help is so greatly appreciated. I find that I am not using the software installed and I am still using the old windows version.. I am in the same situation as shown above written by Shawn dated April 7, A granddaughter, age 13, visited us last month and, with my permission, installed this ugly program after promising to remove it at departure.

Yes, she forgot, but did put me onto Google and there I found Lance's message of September last year. I gave my forehead the heel of my hand and cried a loud DUH! I'm free again. I agree guys, its terrible, my computer wont even run it anymore, it just keeps saying messenger has stopped working.. I stumbled on how to uninstall it without going through all that 'code' stuff. Click remove and tada See yas! Chris, thank you so much! The code didn't work for me either, and not being able to uninstall this was starting to really irritate me.

I'm so glad I was able to get it off! Guys i cant get the W. Skip to content. Make sure to create a restore point before installing for safety measures. Page 1 Page 2 … Page 58 Next page.

Much easier for Vista - 1 click the down arrow at the top that indicates whether available, busy, etc. This is pathetically painful not you Hoboman having to get a whole new page for six new words. Instructables is only interested in selling its upgrades.

I don't have the time needed to load the pages bloated with advertisements and gimmicks to read six words. So it's goodby from me Reply 11 years ago on Introduction. I'm in XP and that doesn't work for me. The messenger service allows for pop-up messages to be sent across a LAN or AD Domain, usually for administrative purposes.

Okay, I'm going to the control panel, then programs, but there is no button saying "change startup programs". The only thing there is "uninstall". Is this something to do with windows 7 which I am using? Yes, I have since upgraded to Windows 7 and have a solution for you. But I have a question. What edition do you have? But I suppose you can just unplug the power to your router and reset that way.

Once I disconnect to the internet, Messenger does load. I tried changing the preferences like you suggested. After connecting again, WLM immediately freezes.

After doing the whole procedure over and over again, with and without the preferences changed, it freezes right after I connect back on internet.

I have a DI Router also and after trying several searches on the issue I came across this thread. The reseting router bit worked for me. Thanks for the info. Thanks it worked for me i just pressed reset on the router. Every firewall exception generated by WLM has disappeared. I really appreciate your help. Ah i already knew how to log on to the router. I have found the settings in the left panel and managed to switch off. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

It was working fine till last night then I couldn't open WLM this morning even after uninstalling and re-installing. I'm so glad I found this forum, Thanks bunches to everyone!

I just moved into my new apartment, which comes with internet access. As a result, I do not have access to the router. I'm now experiencing the same problem with Windows Live Messenger. Since I can't change the router settings, is there anything that I can do from my computer to fix this problem?

Ok, I have the solution. Download the Windows Install Cleanup from the Microsoft site. Then reinstall Windows live messenger. The program basically deletes all traces of Windows live messenger from your Registries. I had the same problem, did this.

Works like a charm. I unplugged the connection and tried once more to start it before plugging back in. Surprise surprise live messenger opened! Remove every rule from the NAT in you router page it should work. If they connect normally it may still be an overmapping problem. Anyway, check if your router has uPnP, and if it has make sure it's enabled.

If that doesn't work either i really don't know what to do. I got 3 computer connected on the same router and after rebooting it i had no problem. Ok, i don't know what the problem is about it but i have it too; but i have tried some stuff and i found ways to make it work. The main way i use now is once i log in to my computer and msn live messenger doesn't work i put it into standby and take it out which seems to load it.

I also go to the task manager, and close all useless programs that i don't use for me, all the apple programs that load; ie. By doing that it seem so load it fine, but sometimes i have to restart and try again This will show the other products reaching EOL with Dlink. I have been using Dlinks for years and had no troubles until recently. Currently I run a WBR Dlink wireless capable router, and 2 pcs here started experiencing the same issue.

Live Messenger suddenly appeared and after I got the local area connection popup it was now connected, I chose sign in! It worked! Obviously there is an issue with Dlink routers, so maybe we should let them know and maybe they can include a fix in the next firmware upgrade.

I only hope I don't need to reboot my router everytime I want to open Live Messenger! Thank you sooooo much!!! I reset my router and now it works fine. I have been having this problem on and off for several weeks now. I'm assuming that was when the router was resetting itself. I also have a D-Link but I'm not sure what the model number is. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Hey, I'm really needing som help, my msn also bugged out recently, i tried resetting the outer, uninstalling and re installing, and still nothing, i even tried opening task manager and even it isn't working, they show up on the task bar but when i click them, something on the right of my screen flickers, it's my msn, it's like it's off the screen, same goes for my task manager, any help would be AMAZING, thank you in adavance.

Zigge wrote: Alright people I think I have a possible solution. I got mine to work by reseting my router, I didn't know how this was fixing it but it was. So I looked more into it and it seems when someone on my network including myself starts msnmsgr. I am using the Dlink DI with latest firmware. So give it a try reset your router and try running windows live messenger. I rebooted the router not a full reset, just a restart! Live Messenger Setup Wizard will come up then press "repair". Leggo I never had a webcam hooked up to this PC.

I still had trouble with my WLM not opening. Same with the other 2 users on my network. It seems to be an issue with WLM and the upnp settings it applys within a users router or intermeidary device with upnp capbility. This is why for me and other people the disabling of upnp in their router allows them to use WLM. Thanks a bundle buddy. It seems to be an issue with Messenger itself, not with the router, since I don't have a router. As long as the messenger doesn't pop up you can't see a repair connection window or something of that sort MSN still doesn't work.

I noticed sometimes MSN don't work, and maybe 20 or 30 minutes later leaving my computer online for a download for instance I try again and it does work! Previously I downloaded and reinstalled the whole MS framework 1, 2. It's better then my previous method in that: It's a 20 second fix; and doing that doesn't even get your icons off the desktop! I'm running this from another language, so I'm just translating to what I guess would be the right words in Eng.

It's with the latest versions starting from May when it all became Windows live messenger, instead of MSN messenger that these bugs are here She has a 5 years old pc with winxp with the issue, and also has a newer intel core 2 duo pc running Vista and has the issue on that one as well With Windows XP the issue of the WLM not loading and creating many instances of it in the task manager is simple to fix.

I think the MessengerService is getting installed for some reason especially when you reinstall the WLM. I hope this will help anyone else with their problems and also understand what is causing it. Thank you so much! I had the same problem and this worked perfectly!

As much as this is a last resort the first time this happened to me about two years ago maybe it didn't matter what I did to get it working until I formatted the computer. It was only after that it actually started working for me, until my recent post where editing the registry worked. It seems microsoft doesn't have much help on this one and we're pretty much left with the guess and check approach at I.

T support. Also I have a logitech cam on one of my pc's and nothing has ever happened to msn on that PC so I doubt it's that. Unless Microsoft has updates for 64 bit OS for msn a clean start is all I can reccomend. Just for the fun of it, I also reset my router to see if this would work. I have a different model than the DI, but it is a Dlink nonetheless, and low and behold, after I reset it, it worked.

Pulling the plug, waiting 5 seconds and then plugging it back in again. Live messenger just caused me a BSOD. I found a solution for it in another thread and maybe it may help you guys as well -. This doesn't work, NOTHING on this thread has worked for me, I've been watching this thread through email for months and its just not happening for me. Randomly sometimes MSN does open but it will crash after a while because I have maybe 2 chat windows open My computer is very fast so that isn't the problem.

Thanks a lot with your idea to reset the router. I update mine DI less than a week ago v3. MSN was not running on one for 3 days and suddenly start running by itself and then the problem came on my second computer. I tried all the solution possible, reinstalling, repair etc. It is strange that when the problem was on one computer and not on the other two at the same times. I am wondering to rollback my firmware to the previous version that, in fact, had no problem with it.

Presuming you have Vista? I was having the same trouble, used to run fine and then Pagnipickle, do you think you could give us a bit more information about your system i. Operating system, version of msn, how you connect to the net. I can't honestly think of anything else today, but it'll give us something too work off of Might be able to derive a solution from there The only other suggestion i can give is that you have a fresh install of msn It may get rid of the problem EDIT:: Found this for ya, see if it helps I also have the same problem.

These msg was shown after i click on the WLM icon : 'Windows live messenger has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Same here, all of a sudden after starting my computer again, the Live Messenger Icon did show but could not get it to pop-up, or to log in. Re-installed: nothing. Reset router: nothing. And I also found out the reason; I use a Hotmail account for Messenger, somehow my password at Hotmail was changed account hacked??

So the basic problem was a changed password of the Messenger account. I tried restarting to no avail. No luck. Tried resetting router. I then found this key:. I tried opening Messenger Live again before re-installing.

BAM, there it was Messenger is now working again. Thank-you everyone for the replies. Hope this helps others Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. What i did was i right click the the msn icon msnmsgr.
