Everything was soooo Great. I immediately lost the Fingerprint reader function. In the course of trying to fix this I formatted several Times and installed clean copies of Vista. I have downloaded every Embassy Suite, Broadcom, and Upek driver and software out there with no sucess. Thanks for providing some additional information. Unfortunately, it looks like your specific fingerprint reader is not supported for Windows If you'd like to use the reader with Windows 10, you can try installing the Vista driver in compatibility mode.
Right click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.

Have you updated the biometric drivers? Did you try to create new user account and check to isolate the issue? Method 1: Update the display drivers through Device manager. Update biometric drivers Please follow the steps given here to uninstall and then reinstall the Display drivers.
If the issue persist, follow the below method. Method 2: Install the latest updates to the biometric drivers through Windows updates. Open the Start menu and type Windows update in the search bar.
